Calling all Beginner Snowboarders and Skiers!

Calling all Beginner Snowboarders and Skiers!

Posted by WinterKids on Tuesday, January 2, 2018

There comes a point when we decide to begin a lifetime sport like skiing and snowboarding, and we wonder where do I start? Luckily for you, January is LSSM (Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month)!  This is a month where deals and training are given to first-time winter sports beginners.  The training and advice (given to you during this special month) will help prepare you for your future winter sport of choice!

January 21 is World Snow Day!  What better way to celebrate these two amazing sports than huge discounts on lessons, gear, and resort day-passes. Here are some opportunities and challenges that your family will benefit from:

Free 4 Kids:

There are opportunities for your child to receive an affordable way to ski/snowboard in their state.  The programs will vary so check for your state’s program.  Parents usually purchase for a small administrative fee, a “Passport”, which includes many free offers. Check out what your state offers by clicking here.

Bring a Friend Challenge (Jan 5-7, 2018):

Would you like opportunities to win prizes for inviting new beginners to snowboard or ski with you?  And get lessons from a professional?  That sounds like a WIN-WIN!  Plus, it is always more fun to learn with friends.  So, take this challenge and help others become involved in a winter activity for a lifetime! I have pasted the criteria and rules here, check it out!

First Day Faces:

This is a social media campaign in order for you to show off your new snowboarding/skiing skills!  The opportunities to win prizes like a $250 certificate to GetSkiTickets.  You have a chance to win many prizes just by tagging #firstdayfaces on your favorite social media platform! Click here for more information.

“Humans weren’t meant to Hibernate” is the motto for Learn to Ski and snowboard, and WinterKids couldn’t agree more!  For more information check out, http://learntoskiandsnowboard.org/
